At 1910 hours, Canton Fire and Rescue were toned for a possible car fire in H-Lot at St. Lawrence. Canton 4-3 (Chief E. Johnson) went en-route at the time of alarm. 4-3 later arrived on scene reporting light smoke coming from the vehicle. Engine 6 was en-route at 1917 hours.
When 6’s crew arrived, they deployed a water can and a TIC (Thermal Imaging Camera) to imvestigate the cause of the smoke. Later, a 50’ of 1 3/4” hose was stretched and about 300 gallons water was flowed into the engine bay where the smoke was coming from to insure extinguishment.
There were no firefighter or civilian injuries, and all Canton units were back in service at 2014 hours
