Car-Pedestrian Accident On Main Street

Canton Fire, Canton Rescue, Canton Police, and County Car 4 were alerted at 2237 hrs to a report of someone in the roadway on Main Street near the intersection of Riverside drive yelling for help and possibly struck by a vehicle. Units were on scene in minutes to find 2 persons laying in the road, injured. The victims were being cared for by members of the Ogdensburg Volunteer Rescue Squad, who had been eating at Sergi's and sprung into action when a person came into the restaurant saying someone had been hit by a car. Ten Canton Fire personnel assisted Canton Rescue with patient care and law enforcement with traffic control. All units were back in service at 2312 hours. The incident is being investigated by the Canton Police Department.
